A Vintage Travel Themed Wedding At Willow Lane Barn

Travel. It’s a thing that I hold near and dear to my heart. Before I started our event rental company, I spent years gallivanting around the world, essentially landing wherever the wind plopped me down. From the amazing beaches in Thailand, to working in a health clinic in Nepal. Paragliding in India and Firefighting school in Texas. I didn’t really care where I went, as long as I was seeing new places and trying new things I was a happy girl.

When Kelsie came to me with her visions of a travel themed vintage wedding, I knew she was speaking my language. Her vision included incoporating places that her and Kyle had traveled together and tying it together with vintage charm. All of this, plus the location, Willow Lane Barn… I was so excited! She had visions of sage and vintage blue wedding colors, all shown against warm ivory table linens and personalized touches throughout Willow Lane Barn. Her confidence in modge podge scared me a little at first as she shared visions of map wrapped photo frames and map wrapped mason jars. I was ecstatic about her vision, but curiously wondering if she knew how much work she had ahead of her.  Creating your own personalized details is an absolute labor of love. Kelsie is such an easy going and sweet girl and she nonchalantly brushed off my concerns, and reassured me that it would be fine. And low and behold, it was more than fine, it was perfect. She truly was able to pull off the most amazing handcrafted map wraps, completing her wedding vision at the Willow Lane Barn.

Every single detail was perfectly thought out, each wedding guest table was assigned a country, with carefully though out souvenirs and trinkets. The soft ivory linens Kelsie rented, accented the warm wood of Willow Lane Barn perfectly. Her vision of soft vintage colored chiffon, next to the rich blue slate of her table napkins were the perfect pops of color, while allowing all her travel themed decor to stand out. Finally, she finished the barn with a sparkling back drop of ivory voile with what felt like a million twinkle lights. Add a scalloped sequin head table in rose gold and the result, was mystical and magical with the perfect touch of rustic. To top off the magic, the night was ended with a sparkler send off in front of the whimsical backdrop, framed by the beauty that is Willow Lane Barn.

It was the perfect vintage travel themed wedding and we are so grateful that we were able to be a part of your amazing wedding day Kelsie & Kyle!
